Adding to this year’s exciting festival season is yet another event, but this one is special – it’s the first festival in India to promote ‘Hardcore’ style of music.

Taking note of the growing audience of dance music, Hardcore: Invasion has been announced, and it’s going to be India’s first festival introduction to the genre of Hardcore music. Happening at Baga Beach, Goa on January 8 and January 9, 2016, this festival is also an overnight event, as gates open at 10pm and the party goes on till 5am in the morning! There are also tents for people who want to camp as well. Artists performing at the festival include Angerfirst, Miss K8 and Radical Redemption.

The festival will have a dark vibe, with the stage being made of junk and wild art installations being exhibited across the entire venue. There are also other strange and fun things to do like beer showers, mud fights/fist fights, zip-lining across the venue, a swimming pool at the venue, merchandise stalls and a lot of other fun things!

For those who haven’t experienced it yet, the essence of Hardcore/Mainstream Hardcore, also known as Gabber is “a distorted bass drum sound, overdriven to the point where it becomes clipped into a distorted square wave and makes a recognizably melodic tone. Hardcore music creates a distinct sound which resonates with tremendous rage and is sometimes referred to as artistic aggression.”
